Two problem found in compartment three. Quite a large rotten area in the narrow planks, in the more curved part of the roof profile. Again, timber treatment has already been applied to the affected area. Secondly, the gap in the roof stick splice means the sections will need bolting firmly together. The lighter coloured roof planks indicate a replacements made some years ago.

Compartment 3 door - it appears to have seen some water ingress.

Taken from the bulkhead opening between compartments 1 & 2, looking towards compartment 5 at the further end. The central part of the full width seat is visible through the opening in the bulkhead between compartments 4 & 5. Internal work to be done [summary] - infilling the two bulkhead openings, fitting two new bulkheads [2 & 3 and 3 & 4] replacing all the seat units with full-width bench seats, and making all the doors work ; which includes one totally new door, in compartment 1.
