Littering of public / natural spaces / ancient monuments really annoys me. You just hiked this beautiful beach / wood/ valley / hill carrying all that food and water, so why is it so much trouble to carry down the now empty packets and bottles, especially as they'll weigh a lot less / take up a smaller space in your rucksack ? [I do spend time on the public footpath / access land near my home, and frequently return home with other people's litter [some of which can be recycled, before the local wildlife & farm animals can be injured]. . not my image : fair use & public education

I absolutely detest the dropping of litter. It despoils the area, and all pollution is hazardous to nature and wildlife - not to mention the risk to other humans. {try bandaging a toddler's foot after they have run onto a bottle top - it's NOT pretty}. Take your rubbish home with you and recycle it if possible or if not, dispose of it properly. . . Not my Image : fair use & public education
