The completed front panel, matching the style of the bulkeads, for the "thunderbox" - now to be a battery box. Designed to be demountable, it is now ready to fit, but will need a little more varnish first. . Posted with Permission

Framework for the "thunderbox" in the early stages of construction, including the surrounding beadings. This is what would have been a very primitive WC, draining directly to the track, when originally built. To comply with modern safety and health provisions, it will be repurposed as a battery box for the carriage lighting. . Posted with Permission
