Framework for the "thunderbox" in the early stages of construction, including the surrounding beadings. This is what would have been a very primitive WC, draining directly to the track, when originally built. To comply with modern safety and health provisions, it will be repurposed as a battery box for the carriage lighting. . Posted with Permission

22 clamps being used to apply pressure as part of the privy compartment's door frame is being constructed, this will be the hinge side. . Posted with Permission

Partially completed beading, this needs to be integrated with the fixtures (ie sink and thunderbox) before it can be fully finished. . Posted with Permission

This is the full bulkhead (the other side is the outside of the carriage) in the privy compartment as the beadings are attached. A considerable amount of work has been done before this image could be taken, both on preparing the end framework to accept the panelling and on the panelling components themselves. .
