Re-inspection visit, under less than ideal conditions. Image as an aide memoire & check on locality, trees etc NB, the "new" A-end headstock has moved significantly.

Replaced upright - showing machining marks, & I think it should probably be tapered.

Plenty of work available here ... although the peeling paint may make it look worse, even after removing some very rusty bolts and brackets !

The visible sill timber is in very poor condition. peeling paint on the planks may hide their condition - good or otherwise. The corner post may need a replacement lower section.

Evidence of an "in-service" [?] repair plus some extra stopping to keep the water out from behind the plate bracket. lowest plank & sill timbers are not good. From this angle, it looks like a chunk is missing from the solebar.

"B" end. Has been replanked, but with ones that are too narrow. [14 instead of 10 planks]

North side, lower sliding door gear. The sill, lowest plank and the lower end of the frame uprights all have evidence of rotten sections. [replacement or repair?]

Lower end of the corner post ...

Problem with one the uprights on the "A" end, at least part of the difficulty is that the joints into the replacement headstock are incomplete / missing.

South side [detail]. Rotten sill - lowest plank also - plus some framework has been cut away.

South side. The vegetation & stack of rail plus being on top of the bank impede access. The sliding door may have been renewed, but much of the paint elsewhere is falling off.

Corner - access was not easy to the South side, a large bramble bush and the bank took care of that. Additionally, the Ivy will need cutting back as it is making a semi-successful bid for world domination.

North side. The lowest parts of the framework, at least the bottom plank and especially the sill timber are in the poorest condition. The latter will require replacement. Unable to assess the condition of the solebar [underframe]

"A" end - body all original planking. lower brackets removed to facilitate replacing headstock, work halted before completion. Slight list visible probably due to being near to the unsupported edge of the bank, especially as the bank had been cut back to allow sidings to be laid.
