The Titan block-setting crane on the North Breakwater at Peterhead, which was constructed between 1912 and 1956. Following the experiences on the South Breakwater, this crane was built with equal height legs from the start. The builder was probably Stothert & Pitt of Bath, but the oval maker's plate is illegible.

The Titan block-setting crane on the South Breakwater at Peterhead sometime after 1891. Shortly after this stage was reached it was discovered that the shelters didn't work in severe storms and the breakwater design was modified. This entailed the crane builder, Stothert & Pitt of Bath, rebuilding the crane to run on legs of equal height. This image has the crane build date as 1891 and 50tons at 100ft radius as the load limit.
