Looking at the roof of Blackpool & Fleetwood 619. This alternating light and dark timber is quite a common feature of tramcars.
.
The modern bulkhead light fittings and the choice of pale yellow paint aren't quite to my liking for a heritage tramcar.

Blackpool & Fleetwood 619 - single deck, roofed "toast-rack". There is a substantial tower amidships to raise the pantograph sufficiently to contact the overhead power supply.

Single-decker approaching Thornton Gate.
Some sturdy concrete fence panels, delineating the tramway route.

Having picked up a couple of passengers, 717 continues on her way southwards to Cleveleys and Blackpool.
Most of the Balloons are somewhat quieter in operation than some of the older, Standard, cars.

Blackpool 600 - one of the "boats" - single deck open top. Definitely for good weather. The trolley pole has a tower for additional height. (otherwise the pole would be unmanageable when changing ends by hand)

Interior (roof) of Blackpool 147.
The varnished timber is lovely, and I like the red glass panels.
Sadly, the modern grab handles and "No Smoking" signs do detract from the heritage ambiance.
