High water - or thereabouts - at Douglas. The Blue Bridge is a lifting bridge, to allow boats to enter the marina [to the left] there's a "flap" gate to retain enough water in the marina at low tide.

Decauville Reg H 2079 Restored in 1949 after spending the previous year in a flooded basement. Has been a regular entrant in the London to Brighton Run. [more details on the info card in the next image]. Sitting on a low plinth inside a private fence ... with one of the several "do not touch" notices present.

The museum also has the largest working waterwheel in mainland Britain, which is available for viewing via several walkways. The waterwheel was constructed in 1870 by De Winton of Caernarfon and is 50 ft 5ins in diameter, 5 ft 3ins wide and was built around a 12in axle. . The wheel was slowly turning (and dripping) when this image was captured.
