Normally, In the summer months Reaper visits various harbours and festivals, mainly off the North Sea. Unfortunately, during the 2016 visit to Johnshaven she was damaged. On the morning of 6th August a gust of wind caught the sail, the sudden pressure snapped the mooring lines and Reaper rolled onto her port side, resulting in damage to the hull. She came up to Arbroath for assessment and temporary repairs, before returning home to Anstruther on 1st October 2016 in calm and sunny weather.
