'The Seafarer' on Wharf Street, Montrose. Next to the RNLI station (their boat is moored nearby). This statue was erected in September 1978, by Montrose Harbour Trustees. A plaque on the base gives a three part commemoration (note - this text is not verbatim) - Memorial to the seamen and fishermen of Montrose & Ferryden - A contribution to the Environment - Tribute to William Lamb ARSA, a renowned sculptor who was born in Montrose.
