The "Bristol Ruby" weigela has loads of flowers this year, and behind the small greenhouse is a wild welsh Rhododendron supplied by my late father, also making a brave display.

Weigelia "Bristol Ruby" attempting to recover after some heavy handed pruning (not by me, I know how to prune this plant.), and other damage ie seemingly trying to dig it up, several months previously. To my bitter disappointment, at the end of August 2016, something has ripped these three soft shoots off, and eaten most of the leaves, so I suspect that will be the end of this poor bush. And that was despite my putting anti-rabbit netting around here. I have replaced this bush and the new one is happily growing flower buds (spring 2020)
