The anchor and this short wall serve two purposes, the former is a reminder of the wreck of a ship (details tbc) and the wall marks the start of the "Coast to Coast" cycle path. (or finish as some people go east to west, just to be different !)

These three cobbles /pebbles are well and truly wedged into the access steps at St.Bees.

And a few pebbles held back by the groynes ...

View from the beach - pebbles at the top but sand exposed at low tide. Very popular beach, and a good café. There is also a lifeboat station here.
