First stage was to bring 696 over to the edge of the Wharf, and pause ... Mix of chains & strops with adjustable spreader bars.

Up in the air again, as 696 approaches the track panel.

Lowering 696 with the aim of landing four square on the track panel.

Down at last, and the strops etc removed.

Another angle, showing the relative levels of the tracks on the Wharf. This will be the site of the transhipment display. Of the four waggons in the view, two appear to be metal bodied "rubbish / waste" waggons , and then one furthest away looks very much like a Hudson "skip" waggon [side tipper].

E2A - 696 was craned onto a track panel in early November 2024 - the manoeuvre was protected by a temporary "blockade" of the main line ... some images *should* come my way soon.
