The Double Fairlie "Earl of Merioneth" departing from TanyBwlch with a train to Porthmadog. This loco was built at Boston Lodge in 1979, with some design considerations that resulted in a "boxy" appearance, which in turn gave it the nickname "The Square". It does have a considerable fan club.
