Ben de-Dog appreciated the notice ! and the view of Llyn Tegid. Taken from a passing train and over Ben's head, the trip on the BLR was the last - actually two days afterwards - part of SBB for 2019. [reposted 2nd April 2023]

Empty vending machine at Llanuwchllyn Station on the Bala Lake Railway. I think this historic item was used to dispense chocolate bars, rather than just cigarettes. I'm told that it is intended to restore it to working order, but the coin mechanism is pre-decimalisation and that is a potential problem [I would suggest they sell people "tokens" to operate it, under supervision, and unload it at the end of the day].

Llanuwchllyn Heritage Centre. A long view down the shed devoted to the display of heritage vehicles, Most of the items visible are various permutations of 2ft gauge slate waggons - there's a wooden one just peeking inti view on the right, the others are mostly 2 or 3 ton waggons. The two end vehicles are a gunpowder and guard's [brakesman] van.

Penrhyn Quarryman's coach - open, with wood slatted seats. Sees occasional use at special events. eg Bala Rerailed on 12/13 June 2021, when a short length of track was laid in Bala, at what will be the Station site, and was pulled by Hunslet "Winifred" to offer rides. bala-lake-railway.co.uk/events/rerailed

D-1087 "Meirionydd" is a Bo-Bo diesel-hydrostatic double-cabbed locomotive based on the outline of a "Western" standard gauge engine [Class 52 - diesel-hydraulic]. It was constructed in 1973 for the BLR by Severn-Lamb.

Scenery watching with every sign of enjoying himself. He was unhappy on the floor, so he's sitting on the seat, with my coat protecting the seat.

The overbridge at Bala (Penybont) This is the present [Sept 2019] Eastern terminus of the Bala Lake Railway, although there are plans for an extension into the centre of Bala itself. Various permissions have been obtained and funding is being sourced for the Red Dragon project.
