Flushed with bright pink flowers, the red currant bush also has loads of bees buzzing around.

Attempting to capture an image of one of the bees frequenting the flowering red currant. But failing to achieve one actually in proper, full focus. Apologies.

Red currant in close-up, Flowering Red Currant [Ribes sanguineum]. Extremely attractive to our local bumble bees, the bush literally hums with their buzzing. The birds like the fruit, so much so that I rarely get to find any ripe berries.
