This sculpture shows Fenella, a character from the 1823 novel by Sir Walter Scott’s "Peveril of the Peak". The artist was Nick Barlow, and he carved it from a single piece of Ash. [dated 2011] It is sited at the landward end of the causeway, overlooking the eponymous beach.

Cleaned of a significant accumulation of old varnish and now being refinished.
