All that was left of Spencer's, Melksham was this wall and the machine shops behind it. Now occupied by various small businesses. All the offices, including the tall block and the canteen were long gone by 2009. CAS knew that Spencer's had gone, but seeing for himself just how little was left, made him sad. He did, however, regal me with a couple of stories as we drove away.
