The rather splendid building that houses the Norwich Model Boat Club, at the end of the relevant lake in Eaton Park. sadly, the ground floor windows are boarded over for security reasons. A couple of NMBC members were about to test a radio-controlled launch.

No, it's not plastic ! This is a Grey Heron [Ardea cinerea] standing watch in the decorative pond in Eaton Park, Norwich. It seemed unperturbed by us or another group of people walking by, although it did turn to watch us for a while. Someone in the other group was somewhat startled by the turning head.
