One of the yellow underwing moths, a little worse for wear on the forewing's trailing edges. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noctua_(moth) Having looked at the comparison images on that Wiki page, N.pronuba is the most likely identification. However, it seems a little small, even under the glass that was used to catch it. After capturing the image it was released back outside.
