Seal and pup sculpture on the promenade at South Queensferry. Real ones are quite a common sight in the Firth, indeed the trip boats have seal watching trips available.

Seal swimming along - not quite ignoring the visitors.

We passed this seal (probably a Grey or Atlantic seal, Halichoerus grypus) hauled out for a sunbathe on the mudflats near Dunston.

Whilst walking around Longstone Lighthouse, this young seal was spotted having a sunbathe! whilst waiting for the tide to bring the sea back.
