This small section of framework has twelve panel pins (small nails) that had been securing the exterior beading. This has been a common discovery.

When the Miller was surveyed for the present owner, he was advised to pull a few nails and inspect them for corrosion. This was the worst of the nails sampled, and it took quite an effort to extract it.
