Lovely [not] Yellow Warning form the UK's Met Office for Snow & Ice on Saturday 15th February 2025. I don't remember the road outside being gritted !
{Definitely damp & relatively feeling very cold this morning - yesterday, tipped ice from the bird bath onto the grass, this morning it was still there, completely unthawed}.
e2a [on the 16th] definitely had the ice yesterday - very slippery & lasted all day, but no snow ...
not my image ; fair use & public information

More distant look at the first clumps of snowdrops poking up out of the front lawn.
Yes, it was frosty !
[I took a closeup of another group]
Will be keeping an eye out for the buds opening & I may image some other patches of 'drops.

An expedition or two - walking Bella - along the riverside and up to the Alston Arches. It was cold enough for icicles on the edge of the weir.

A cold and frosty sunrise, with a light dusting of snow added for the scenic touch.
A very few minutes later and clouds had obscured the rising run.

In the throes of a very cold snap ...
That's a mixture of freezing fog and hoar frost, not much wind today but what there is from the North & East.

The power of the reflected sunlight from the wing mirror onto the door.
I was quite surprised as the air temperature was still below freezing ...

The white patches are actually ice / hoar frost on the sand of the outer harbour beach. Yes, it is still very cold and crisp, especially in the shade..

This is not snow, but a hoar frost from freezing fog overnight.

This Silver Birch looks like the weeping version under the weight of the hoar frost.
