Very small image of the prom at St Bees getting a pasting from storm waves [high tide ?] and I suspect the walkway is going to be covered in pebbles and seaweed thrown up from the beach. Taken from the steps outside the "Beach Cafe / Shop" - St Bees is in western Cumbria, a little way South of Whitehaven undated, possibly late Nov or early Dec 2023. not my image [very small] : fair use & public information

Passing the lighthouse at St Bees, the small building at the cliff top is the foghorn. (sadly, these wonderful, but noisy, devices are all silent now)

Lighthouse at St Bees, sited between the North and South Headlands. The small white building on the edge of the cliff top is actually the foghorn, which is no longer used.

Peeping around the headlands, St Bees bay is just opening, and we can see the white painted hotel building.

View of St Bees as we turned back after another short proving cruise. The approaching clouds encouraged us to hurry home.
