Detail of the motion on Drakensberg's uphill power bogie - above is the water tank. I gather that the weight of this helps with adhesion when working hard.

At Aberffrwd we passed No.10, the Baguley-Drewry locomotive, on a short PW / works train. I presume that the staff had been engaged on lineside maintenance.

Brass threshold plate stating that this carriage was rebuilt in 2020 by the Vale Of Rheidol Railway. {it is either 4995 or 4996, which were originally built in 1938 at Swindon}. The ceiling features local birds, and this door plate mosaic is likely to be a depiction of a Sewin / Sea Trout.

Running in board [station name board] at the upper terminus of the Vale of Rheidol Railway. Devil's Bridge in Welsh is Pontarfynach. I do like the design of the fence around the back of platform, and the flower beds are still making a good show of colour.
