I know about "stretched" limos ... and forward control LandRovers ... But that combines both !

4WD Fiat Panda - the 1990 design, probably updated slightly [although it would have been built in Tychy, Poland] Ewa is waiting for me - we're going to have an off-paved-road drive around the woods near Wyszki. Also did some wild plant foraging.

One of ten specially built [adapted] Muir Hill tractors developed for the heavy duty task of deep mole ploughing - J.C.Brown is/was a drainage contractor, and deep mole ploughing is a means to improve field drainage in heavy/clay soils. reg UUP 997K Note the balance weight on the nose ... {Mole ploughing can also be a means of installing underground cables}.

These are just a few of the 4WD contingent - mostly LandRovers, but there were both an Austin Gypsy & a Champ about, plus the high vehicle in the second row is a Mercedes-Benz Unimog 404 ... plus an Austin Marina pick-up and a VW campervan in the first line. Note the churned up ground after heavy rain for most of the previous day.

[690] MF 1200 Undated [post-1969], Massey Ferguson 1200 Chunky beast ... Prototype built 1969, the 1200 was the UK's first articulated 4WD tractor. [578] 1938 built Guy Quad Ant - in un-restored / original condition I believe that this might have started life as either an armoured car, or a 4WD gun tractor.

[528] CYY 311C 1965 built 4WD Austin 'Gypsy' - quite a rare beast. I bet most people that only glanced at this vehicle thought that they were looking at a Landrover ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_Gipsy
