To my surprise, the camera managed to capture the details of this artwork of the Alston Arches, which I didn't really see so well by eyesight.

Brass threshold plate stating that this carriage was rebuilt in 2020 by the Vale Of Rheidol Railway. {it is either 4995 or 4996, which were originally built in 1938 at Swindon}.
The ceiling features local birds, and this door plate mosaic is likely to be a depiction of a Sewin / Sea Trout.

A mosaic artwork butterfly in the sunken gardens on Douglas Promenade.
I think this is an artistic interpretation rather than truly representative.
I don't know how old these mosaic works are, but time and the weather are breaking pieces off them. Several other examples were badly damaged.
IoM[3] - mosaic shield

One of several mosaic features tucked away in part of the sunken garden. This one is a representation of the typical heraldic shield ... I don't know if it is a recognised device or coat of arms.
Sadly, most of them have lost at least a few of the pieces from which they have been made.
The smaller flowers growing here are calendula - marigolds - that seem to be at least partially self-seeded.

Detailed mosaic of the Standard Motor Company, of Coventry 's logo / tank / radiator badge.
IIRC this came from their headquarters.

Quite an extensive & wide range of activities - inc building both the de Havilland mosquitos in WW2 and the "Grey Fergie" at the shadow factory at Banner Lane after the war.
