Neat tuck under and tight corners for the roof canvas. Note the tartan paint ! which will be rubbed back and recoated in a day or two. Caused by differential settling of the pigments as the paint drys, the cure is to work in one direction only

Applying the undercoat to the roof canvas.

The "cane bend" which covers the edge of the canvas has been fitted. To accommodate the curves we steamed the timber. The large penny washers are to hold the sections in place as they cool and dry. The next stage will be to apply paint after final fixing.

Just a little more top coat to apply, in the next couple of minutes. The following job will be fixing the "cane bend".
