"A view of the World from 9th Avenue, by Saul Steinberg" dating from 1976. Sadly showing the woeful worldview / lack of knowledge of basic geography exhibited by the typical New Yorker ... part of this is down to education standards and part to the isolationist / insular nature of some Americans {But Not All, happily}. Even in the very cosmopolitan City that is New York ... IMO, this is still the situation and djt exemplifies this point of view / sheer level of absolute ignorance. .
