Spotted this walking on the outer harbour beach in Whitehaven. It is a fragment of ceramic - white stoneware ? - which is curved as though it was from a mug, beaker or straight-sided bowl. I had a good look around but found nothing else. The dates and lettering implies Queen Victoria's Gold or Diamond Jubilees ...

The "dedications bench" to which the brass plaque in the image alongside is attached. Plus a soft sofa. {there's an AV presentation set up opposite the larger bench}

Brass dedication plaque - test reads "DOUG HELE This seat is dedicated to the memory of Doug' from his racing and Competition Team of Triumph Engineering 1965 to 1975" [It then lists 12 names.]

"Welcome to the National Motorcycle Museum - where legends live on" It is well worth a visit to this fascinating place ... {although I don't think the lady sitting on the wall would agree with me, when I saw her inside earlier she looks bored to tears}

This really makes my brain hurt. Not only is the kerning [spacing] very variable, the letters themselves are inconsistently formatted. Apart from that, what should be equal height book spines are anything but identical - which shows up as they are placed in a slip case. . . . Not my Image ; Fair Use & public information

Lettering for this side is finished, maybe a few little spots to touch up. Then around to the other side ...
