One of five bought by Douglas Corporation in 1957, who required the outsized destination boxes. Guy Otter chassis with Perkins P6 [six cylinder] diesel engine, with a crash gearbox, built in Wolverhampton. 26 seater Mulliner coachwork built in Birmingham. RegNo WMN 485 Retired in 1970 and privately preserved. Acquired by Wythall Transport Museum in Oct 1994, renovated and repainted in 2007.

One of the things I found interesting, was that Rotterdam has (in 2008) an extensive public transport network of trams and many people use bicycles or walk. It was possible to buy day or 3-day "rover tickets" on the trams or at the stops. There are some buses and a few private cars, taxis and vans - lorries deliver at night ...
