The best attempt of several to capture the spray coming up from the bow-wave. [to the amusement of the gentleman at the helm].

Not only has the wind dropped a bit, but the tide has also definitely turned. There's more beach showing, and the lighthouse at the end of Roker Pier has become visible - closer inshore, the spray is still making it difficult to pick out much in the way of details.

A fairly decent high tide, and an on-shore breeze are producing some surf. The resulting broken waves are giving off quite a bit of spray this afternoon. Looking from "The Bents", past Seaburn and on towards Roker Pier, in Sunderland. On what's left of the sandy beach are several large flocks of sea-birds and waders. Including Oystercatchers ...

High Tide and the breakers are dashing against the rock armour / sea defences. The path, or some of it, is getting wet from the spray. This made walking back along here more exciting than usual.

High tide (ish) in the outer harbour at Whitehaven, the wind direction has got the waves and backwash interacting with each other and the walls. The jumping spray was difficult to catch, no rhyme / reason / rhythm to it that I could see - and a camera that doesn't react quickly enough ... this was the best out of a lot of attempts.
