Locomotive 2890 aka "Douglas" originally built as an 0-6-0 "Austerity" tank in 1943 by Hunslet Engine Company Leeds. Rebuilt as a tender locomotive, most recent return to service was in 2017. Has spent time at the Spa Valley Railway. Waiting to pull forward to take water and then finish running around the train, which is waiting in the adjacent platform.

That address made me smile - my late father did his apprenticeship at Hunslets, a few years before the start of WW2.

The original offices of Hunslet Engine Company. Now listed. . In 1933 the upper floor consisted of the drawing offices, whilst the lower floor contained Edgar (John's father) Alcock's office and the board room to the left of the main door - I believe the time clerks were to the right.
