Tiny caravan being used as a base camp for a small family group visiting Wast Water in The Lake District. . The authorities have taken a leaf out of the Gwynedd Council / Snowdonia National Park's play book and made the road & verges up to Wasdale Head a clearway ie a no parking zone. I can see that there has been too much damage to the roadside landscape from cars, including the problem of parked cars blocking up the passing places. A small number of parking areas are already provided, but I think more will be needed.

Between the day's close of business and dinner / evening networking in 'spoons, we decided to have a look out and drove up to Llyn Ogwen. This was the emptiest I've ever seen this car park !
