Another view of the full-size steamers in the arena. The weather is getting very cloudy ... although it managed not to rain !

Just before the end of the full-size steamers display there was a short pause. I was hoping that interested parties would be invited into the arena, but that didn't happen. Instead, the next events turned out to be the ploughing demonstration and then the "Ladies driving" ...

The trailer with the small boiler that the Fowler "Providence" was towing around the arena as "heavy haulage" [There was a much bigger example in the "playpen"]

Finale to the main arena parade was for the engines to sound their whistles / hooters / sirens ... That was a) quite tuneful but b) exceptionally loud

After "Aries" had been parked on the far end of the back row, members of the public were allowed into the arena - very sociable of the organisers - I took advantage of the opportunity to take a few more images. This one features the Robey "Tandem" roller.

Another view of the miniature steamers, and several more of the full-size machines have come into the arena. The most recent arrival is just turning towards the line-up, across a patch of ground that is getting a little churned up {there was a little roller tamping this patch down between parades}.

Almost all the full size steamers are now in the arena, ranging from a Robey "Tandem" roller [the red one on the extreme right] to various Fowlers and Showman's, plus a Sentinel S4 steam waggon. The last ones to enter were the matched pair of Fowler ploughing engines, currently just leaving their base on steam line.
