Some of the crew from "Lifeboat 416" are watching the "Distinguished Gentleman's Ride" motorbikes with bemusement. [I did try to explain the fund raising and fun ride elements to them as well as I could]. www.gentlemansride.com/rides/england/bournemouth-poole

"Lifeboat 416" dressed overall ...
At least she has masts from which her crew can fly the "bunting" - poor ON594, being only pulling / rowing so has no masts ! I had a few ideas for the next time we do this ...

Lifeboat 416 next to ON594, these two are the oldest lifeboats present - built 1868 and 1909. The day's official activities are due to start at 11:00, but most of the crews are already beginning to arrive - and some people are visiting other lifeboats, as well as getting ready ...
