Closer view of the bows, much of what you can see is "slime" - apart from the clumps of "tube worm" on the keel.
This animal is normally something of a pest at Whitehaven for boats - or pontoons - that stay afloat for long periods.
However, I think that these may have died after the water went brown in November last year.

At lift-out on 5th May 2023.
Next job is a quick scrape & pressure washing the hull.

Stern view ... more tube worm, some mussels, barnacles / limpets - considering she has been afloat for at least three years longer than anticipated, the anti-fouling [helped by the ironstone stain in Nov 2022] hasn't done too badly.

Close up of the rudder, propeller and under the hull.
The anti-fouling has worked quite well on the wooden hull, but the metal work has accumulated a few items of marine growth - mainly barnacles, mussels and some tube worm.
The sacrificial anode has all but disappeared ... so it has done it's job.

Beginning to sand the exterior of the cabin side panels. It was pleasant to find that the mahogany is in good condition, replacing these would be very expensive - even if the timber was available.
MF - cabin side & no roof

The old cabin roof has been stripped off, as the plywood was rotten. The ends of the roofsticks were not in good condition, so replacements will be made before a new roof is constructed.
