Well, it's a railway ... a simple oval around part of the Strumpshaw Hall site, about 1/2 mile in length.
Single coach hauled by a mock-steam-outline engine. Underneath the fake bodywork is a Simplex. Built by Motorail of Bedford in 1937. Model 7192 20/28 hp. Originally supplied to River Wye Catchment Board, Hereford, with a Dorman 2HW diesel [No FD 29992]. Now powered by a three-cylinder Perkins.
Engine carries the name "Jimmy" in memory of James Key, and the station is now "Strumpshaw Halt" after the renovations in 2009/10.

Another "Quarry Hunslet" running along behind the slate museum, this 2ft gauge line is the Llanberis Lake Railway (aka Rheilffordd Llyn Padarn) and the engine seen here is "Elidir"

The sole remaining whole Wyatt Rail - there are a couple of rebuilt pieces on display as well - and an intermediate sleeper (tie - bar).
