Attaching (with pressure activated adhesive and concealed pins) the strip of Sapele panelling under one of the four main saloon windows. The curved corner fillets are to follow. . Posted with Permission

Trial fit of the first "corner" panel, between the rear bulkhead and the window. The above window panel is also in position. The lengths of tape are holding the curved fillets in place, a spare rests on the window reveal, which has a temporary cover to protect the veneer while work is in progress. Note that some repairs to the ceiling have been made. . Posted with Permission.

Slightly oversize piece of Sapele veneer glued onto the lower window reveal. To be trimmed to size before applying varnish. . Posted with Permission.

Butterfly struggling to escape from a window. I tried to arrange a "capture and release" exercise but the business owner was extremely un-helpful, I left without achieving anything but upsetting myself. We have not been back to this establishment since, despite visiting the locality regularly ! Almost certain that this butterfly is an example of a Marbled white [Melanargia galathea] The poor thing will have died there, even if the "Nasty Man" didn't swat it or spray fly-killer about ...
