Looking down the miniature steam line [the full size are behind me] - again, the high turnout of entries has probably been encouraged by the ability to "camp" at the back of the exhibits. [There's a security aspect for model, miniature & stationary engines displays which means owners want to be near their pride & joy]

A very nice model of a Wallis & Steevens "Simplicity" steam roller, note the steeply inclined boiler. This design feature makes it very difficult to get into a position where the water flows away from the top of the firebox [aka uncovering the crown of the firebox] which could be very dangerous, and with a high risk of causing serious damage.

"Maud" was visiting the Apedale Railway Gala "Locos from Leeds" - as a miniature McLaren that's OK - they were built in Leeds.
