Several sorts of seaweed, and the rocks are also interesting - I think the grey strip maybe an intrusion. The green seaweed was exceptionally slippery.

Fascinating amount of interest in rock pools ... this one is a bit too shallow to be a good hunting ground.

Many years ago I was given a number of "holey" rocks - this is one of the larger ones. Looks like a limestone that has been home to some marine worms that drill tunnels to live in, but I've no idea where it was found (or even if the person who gave it to me had collected it in the first place). A couple of the others would have made good loom or spinning weights.

White Rose made from pebbles. This was in a shopping precinct, I took the image, just can't quite remember where ... Taken in honour and memory of my late father. He was a Yorkshireman, and proud of it. Although he had lived elsewhere for many years.

The breaking waves are leaving some seaweed froth behind on the pebbles, the onshore wind was blowing the froth away almost as quickly as it was left.

These three cobbles /pebbles are well and truly wedged into the access steps at St.Bees.

And a few pebbles held back by the groynes ...
