The weather, fairly obviously, has a marked affect on whether or not small boat crossings are possible or even safe. Not that the latter seems to be much of a concern for those smugglers organising crossings. The poorer weather in 2023 seems to have been something of a deterrent. . During February 2020 various areas of the UK were subjected to 200%+ of their normal (climatic levels) of rainfall. [which also included snow in some areas] This made me smile, even though I had been thoroughly rained on during that month. Not my Image. This meme is displayed under fair use & education provisions.
