Some extremely well made shoe stretchers, what caught my eye was the visible grain patterns, especially on the one for the right foot.

The wall of shoes ... The ground conditions at Vindolanda have preserved a considerable quantity of leather shoes, many normal items of footwear but also including some exceptionally fine sandals and even some suitable for small children. There are 70 in this display ...
