Tucked away on the wall in the pub where we had lunch during our expedition along the SVR.
Snapped it for two reasons - Torquay's opponents on 16th and 23rd April [ date ? - post 1971 from the currency]. I wasn't the only person looking at this ...

A somewhat idealised view of the Aberglaslyn Pass used by the LNWR as publicity material.
.
I've been trying to relate that to the modern world ... I know where I think it is, which means the artist has somewhat romanticised the location.

Framed poster / print of "Storm over Southall Shed" by Cuneo. Like quite a number of people, I am a "mouse hunter" - and yes, I saw this mouse ! - you do get to examine the subject matter quite closely in the search.

Poster for the "Great Little Trains of Wales" - a co-operative publicity scheme for the narrow-gauge railways in (North) Wales formed during the 1970s. There was also a "season" ticket available for free or reduced price travel in the participating railways.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Little_Trains_of_Wales
[The Festiniog has two images because they did most of the co-ordination of the scheme at that time]
www.greatlittletrainsofwales.co.uk - there are now eleven members, a 20% and a "Gold card" support the railways scheme - currently GLTW is run from Tywyn.
