BtC - I needed a hug

21 Nov 2024 31
Bella offered up her front paws, as she wanted a hug, she is such a happy little collie. Still quite timid in many ways, however, her confidence is growing steadily.

BtC - Bella on the bank

Bella waiting for us to climb up from the Haltwhistle Burn's stone beach. Her attention has been attracted to another dog barking from nearby.

BtC - Tazzing

Bella tazzing around ! [on the shorter grass down by the riverside]

BtC - by the river

01 Aug 2024 49
Bella pausing "in the rough" down by the riverside. This area has had some maintenance & is regularly walked over, which keeps the paths rather clearer. [Better for Bella, in wet weather than going over the fell, she gets less wet]. There are a lot of holes / rabbit warrens to contend with in the area to the right of the main path. The trees in the distance mark the general area where Haltwhistle Burn joins the River South Tyne.

BtC - visiting the Burn IV {5 of 5}

30 Oct 2024 21
Don't go too close to the edge ... the burn is undercutting the banks along here. Even more so to my right, on the outside of a sharp bend, especially as there's been some rain recently. Bella's having a serious sniff of some grass - when I got there I could just detect that the local fox was scent-marking last night.

Ok, Bella, we'll go and look - but I suspect it'll be flooded down at the beach.

BtC - high warp speed approach

30 Oct 2024 20
Bella's approaching at high warp, barely touching the ground - just as well as that area has quite a few rabbit holes and other dips / hollows. Down by the Riverside ; this the other area that Bella goes to for exercise on a regular basis when we're at home.

BtC - Down by the River I {5 of 5}

One of Bella's regular walks "at home" is down to where the Haltwhistle Burn joins the River South Tyne. It's changed a bit recently, but still has some pools and a stony beach backed up by scrubby bushes. , After the "paddle in the burn" Bella had to find some soft, sandy silt to dig in ! [dropped off by the Tyne after some recent spate conditions]

Ben sitting by the Cenotaph, having a breather. [It's hot and he's walked quite a way already for a dog that is getting on a bit]
