Model of Peveril Castle at the height of it's development in the 12th century. The site is perched on the hill-top, with steep slopes on all three sides. The model is outside, behind the modern ticket office & shop operated by English Heritage.

Qualifies as the smallest scale miniature out for a play today. [I think this may be scaled at 1" to the foot]

Scale steam turbine, the nozzle is 0.7mm diameter, and it has been timed at 3,500+ rpm. The brass and green jig is an injector powered nail bender!

6" Atkinson Colonial wagon

A model of "William Riley" built by Peter Thompson. Interestingly, the varnished interior appears in the model as it does in the restoration, although the original would have had grey deck paint. The launching carriage is fitted with "Tipping's Plates" - a method used to prevent the carriage getting bogged down on the beach.
