Finally managed to catch one of the many Blue Tits , aka "Jacki Blue Caps" around here (Parus caeruleus) in the act of carrying away a peanut.

Someone needs a peanut, a visiting Great Tit (Parus major) - probably a male, but not a dominant one as the black chest strip is not especially wide.

Close up of the bird-feeder - I'll need to add some more peanuts.

I think, maybe, I'm going to be staying in today. I'll go and make some coffee. For the last week in February, that's a bit too much like the arctic !

The replacement fatballs were the larger ones. This example was hung close to the window to try and stop it freezing, the bird (Great Tit) is having a quick break from feeding.
