Tucked up there, almost out of sight, are a few carousel horses. The pipework is the compressed air supply for the working exhibits. It is easier to change things around and check for leaks with it exposed like this.

More large diameter pipework - district heating ? Lifted to cross the road system.

CAS pointed this out to me. That insulated ducting / pipework could be 1m (approx 3 feet or 1 yard) in diameter. (probably a district heating scheme as the supports are quite substantial structures)
