This RSH 0-6-0T locomotive was originally built in 1938 as a saddle tank at their Darlington works, recorded as works number 6947 for Scunthorpe steel works [Appleby Frodingham - presumably that's where the 39 comes from]. Restored to Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns deep maroon livery around 2006 [although it looks freshly repainted here] - 'Stivvies' works was active in Darlington for a long time and built a wide variety of locos for home and abroad, the last ones being Class 37 diesel electrics.

Plate from 2890 aka "Douglas" originally built as an 0-6-0 "Austerity" tank in 1943 by Hunslet Engine Company Leeds. Rebuilt as a tender locomotive, most recent return to service was in 2017. Has spent time at the Spa Valley Railway.
