I know - on an intellectual history level - why they have the electoral college. Personally, given modern technology I think it should be revised to more closely reflect votes cast - not the 'winner takes all' as at present. Nope, it was medical advances, specifically the mrna vaccinations which are doing that, although the 'rona will probably never be eradicated [unlike smallpox] ... During the covid pandemic trump was, tbh, a great liability, and his stupidity / self-centredness [like bojo's] probably exacerbated the situation & may have caused a lot of the deaths which could / should have been avoided. {Yes, I'm bitter - I lost family & friends to 'rona} . .
